How We Work

Our Operational Standards

OCS doesn't place staff and walk away. We come in, learn your community, and build a front of house operation where the resident always comes first.

Why Most Communities Struggle With Front of House Staffing

Most senior living communities fill front of house roles with agency temps or undertrained hires and hope for the best. The result is inconsistent service, residents who feel overlooked, and a management team spending more time plugging holes than leading.

Residents notice when a community's culture doesn't match its mission statement. They notice when staff walk past without making eye contact. They notice when no one offers to help. Those small moments add up, and they shape how residents and families feel about living there every single day.

Oley Concierge Services (OCS) was built around a simple principle: the customer is the priority. Skills can be taught. Attitude cannot. OCS hires for genuine hospitality instinct, trains for your community specifically, and manages the team so your residents feel it.

Our Process

How We Get Started

01

We Learn Your Community First

Before we place anyone, we take a close look at how your front of house is actually running. We walk through every resident touchpoint, from arrival and package handling to transportation and concierge requests, and identify where service is breaking down and where residents are being let down. We don't assume. We look.

02

We Build the Right Team for Your Residents

Based on what we find, we put together a staffing model that fits your community's size, resident profile, and service expectations. We figure out the right roles and coverage, then recruit W2 employees who meet our standard: people who lead with attention, take pride in their work, and treat every resident interaction as the priority it is.

03

We Train to Your Community, Not a Generic Script

Every OCS team member goes through structured onboarding specific to your community before their first shift. They learn your culture, your residents' preferences, and the service standards we've built together. Cross-training is built in from day one so coverage gaps don't become service gaps. There is no learning curve on the floor.

04

We Stay Involved and Keep the Standard High

OCS manages the team on an ongoing basis. Scheduling, performance, and coverage continuity are our responsibility. When someone is out, we handle it. When a resident's needs change, we adapt. Hospitality comes before logistics, and your management team stays focused on the community rather than the staffing calendar.

The Oley Standard

What a Resident-First Front of House Actually Looks Like

W2 Employees, Not Temps

Every OCS team member is a direct W2 employee, not a contractor or agency fill. That means real accountability, real investment in the work, and a team that shows up because they care about the residents they serve, not just because a shift was available.

Hired for Attitude, Trained for Skills

Skills can be taught. Attitude cannot. We hire people who lead with attentiveness and genuine care, then train them to your community's specific standards. Above-market pay keeps good people around, which is the whole point.

Hospitality Before Logistics

Our service standards come from front-of-house hospitality operations, not institutional care. Every interaction, from a valet exchange to a grocery delivery, starts with the resident. Eye contact, a warm greeting, an offer to help. The logistics follow. The resident experience leads.

One Team, No Gaps

Valet, concierge, packages, transportation, and in-suite services all operate as one coordinated team under OCS management. Cross-training means every team member can step in where needed. No siloed vendors, no communication gaps, no resident falling through the cracks.

Let's Talk About What's Not Working

If your community is dealing with staffing turnover, inconsistent service, or a front of house that doesn't reflect your mission, we'll start with an honest conversation about where things stand and what we can do.
